So, about the speeches. I found out who the other winners were yesterday. The x2 preggo girl and one other one I barely remember. I feel really really bad for the other junior graduate; she got beat by preggo. Oh well, they gave her the job of turning the tassels at the end of graduation. Oh, and I'm the first speaker, which is what I wanted so it worked out for me.

Anyways, I'm so fucking tired. Yesterday I had only gotten 1 hour of sleep after being awake for nearly two days, and as soon as I got up I had to rush to school to practice with my speech. While waiting for the others to show up my mom turns to me and goes "You look like you just came out of a coffin." Oh yeah, that totally made me feel 100 times more relax about giving my speech....fuck...

When I got home I was so exhausted but no matter how hard I tried to sleep I remained awake for at least 10 more hours. I was basically too tired to do anything, but too awake to sleep; a.k.a. a zombie. Now I look like a raccoon because I'm lacking so much sleep and I have so much stress. Even today I have to be up and about for my brother's acting award things, and i swear if he and his girlfriend get all lovey-dovey while we are at the resturaunt I am going to vomit......or punch him. I have no problem with it, but I don't want to see it when I am so tired and ill feeling.

I can't wait for this to be over...then I might sleep for a week...or at least never leave my bed.

I've found and cleaned up my original Tetris games for the Gameboy and NES. I'm addicted, and it's Pachi's fault for talking to me about it; it planted a seed in my head. rofl. I used to play it on the Gameboy when I was in elementary school, but I was never obsessed with it like I was with the original Kirby's PinballLand for the Gameboy. Now, I can't stop playing it! I plugged my NES into my TV since I no longer use it to watch TV, and now I can sit in bed and play a nice game of Tetris. I can also, and sometimes do, play it on the Gameboy Color, but it has no backlight, and I hate leaving my table lamp on to play. I should hunt down a Gameboy Advanced so I don't have that problem.

Anyways, I don't think I posted about the graduation speech I was asked to do. So...I was asked to do a speech for graduation, but I had to audition for it. Today, well technically yesterday, was when the audition was. I went up against 5 other people, and I feel highly confident I was in the top 2, if not the best. 3 of the speeches were absolutely horrible, and contained things about how the girls had sex, got pregnant (one got preggers twice!), and then thought their lives would forever be ruined, but my school helped them. Ok, really...I don't want to hear about anyone having sex, it's not appropriate. I also don't want to hear about your stupid children, they are not the ones graduating and the majority of teenagers can't identify with being a young parent. The other 2, other than mine, were good. The other junior that is graduating had a good speech, but it talked to much about herself and her expierence instead of trying to inspire the graduating students to do something with their lives. The other girl was an amazing speaker, and her speech contained basically the same message I was trying to convey, but it dragged on and on and on. Everyone got a little bored. I think that if she cut out the unessesary details, that speech would be perfect.

Here is my speech. Feedback is appreciate. I've also omitted certain things to keep privacy aka the name of my school and teacher.

My Speech... )

After I got home I fell asleep because I had been going nonstop all day, and while I was asleep my teacher called. I had given him 5 copies of my speech to read or give to other teachers, so he took the time to look it over for me. He told me that I did extremely well, and that the qualitiy of my speech would be good enough to present at a college graduation, and that he was impressed.

Over all I feel good, and I believe I will be picked.

My baby bird died only two days after I brought it home. I was devastated. He was doing extremely well. I checked on him every hour and fed him every 3 or 4 hours. Within 1 hour he went from sleeping in the normal birdd position, to looking like he was having seizures. His wings were out, his head would pull all the way back, his little stub tail would go straight up, and he would shake. It was horrible. I help him for the 10 minutes until he finally died, and then I think I sat there for another 30 in shock. Poor baby. I don't know what went wrong. I've been too drained and unmotivated to post about it until now.

My graduation outfit is coming alone nicely. I actually have two of the same dress. I was getting a different one, but they screwed up and sent two of the same one, which I am ok with becuase it is the one I wanted. The one they did not send was one my mother liked. Besides, we got is from China and we don't intend, nor feel we need to ship it back or reorder. Did I mention the dress earlier? It's a Jesus Diamante rip off, but basically the same thing. I have a feeling the Jesus Diamante dress is stronger quality, and made with better fabric, but for $30 I was sold on the this dress that is the same, but will most likely wear down fast.

Other than that I've gone ahead and bought a long chain of fake ivory pearls, fake ivory pearl bracelets, fake gold bracelets, 2 ivory double rose pins, and 2 satin pink rose pins. My mother is also letting my borrow a long strand of real pink freshwater pearls.

I still need lace stockings, shoes, nails, lashes, and fabric for the jacket we are making.
